The snow falls before New Year

This holiday is going so fast...Christmas Day came and went and all family and friends missed so much. I don't think Raj misses people as much as me but having Hayden miss his Nannies and Grandads company over the last few days has been tough.

Megan and Amanda have been busy with their families and with Carrie and Kim gone back to their home towns it's a little lonely.

Can't complain we have what we wanted and a quiet Christmas just us 4 (and the XBox).

I am however looking forward to New Years Eve, even though many of our friends are a long distance away we can celebrate twice...8pm here is midnght in the UK so we can skype in on some parties and call to hear celebrations.

If I could have one wish it would be that we could have a miracle and some tickets magically appear to go the wedding of Dave and Kirsty. Iam so sad that we won't be there to share their magical day, lets hope skype works :)

Christmas Eve

The eve of Christmas is here and thinking of all that has come and gone this year. When 2009 started we knew we were moving to PEI but never thought I would have a beautiful baby girl and a big house.
I have learnt so much over the past year including how materialistic I once was. Christmas this year is all about the giving and realising how blessed I am to have these opportunities. I cannot wait to see Haydens reaction to Christmas morning and the visit of Santa and to curl up with my gorgeous Husband, no interferance from anyone.
Although family and freinds are missed we are going to concentrate on our little family this year. So merry chrimbo all and happy new year, we hope to chat over the break xx

A week to Christmas and my little girl is now 10 weeks old! The snow has fallen and is not going anywhere for a while. Raj has to dig the driveway out every morning before he can take the car! Hayden is excited to see Santa and a little less scared after a few christmassy films on the telly.

It seems like everyine hibernates this time of year but we ventured out for a party the other day. Kallie, she is a girl Hayden went swimming with, was 3.

This is Hannah

and the gorgeous blonde is Hayden

How sweet can a 3 year old be?

The hardest thing about having Taryn has been Hayden, he is a little jealous to say the least and whenever attention of me is anywhere but him he will misbehave to get that attention back!

However we went to the library on Wednesday and when Santa arrived accompanied by bells Hayden's face lit up, he ran and gave Santa the biggest hug and shouted "I'm Hayden and that's my baby sister Taryn!!" OMG how sweet, I was reduced to tears!

Taryn forced to be in the Christmas spirit...

and sent to sleep rocking out to AC DC!

Setting up for Christmas in the new house

8 weeks old and Taryn prepares to set up her first Christmas Tree. Bath first!

The Christmas tree needed an air first while we sorted the decorations as in the last house it was
stored in the damp cellar.
Hayden organised the decorations.
Once the decorations were up Raj topped it with the fairy :)
Taryn doing a 'balancing girl' she was way too heavy for the top of the tree though!
Hayden is finally excited over Christmas even though he is a bit scared of the old man with a beard that comes into his room at night!!

Now a tour of the house...the master bedroom...

Hayden loves his new room...note 'STAR WARS' curtains!

The upstairs bathroom, or washroom as I must start saying!

The dining area, still awaiting the sword to be hung!

Taryns room...

The Christmas tree...
...and the lounge.
The stairs in the lounge heading to the front door and the basement.

The front door...
...and the view from it!

The laundry and downstairs WASHROOM!
Downstairs guestroom, still awaiting bed delivery...

...and Raj and Hayden's game room, where the games, books and XBox are!

Nearly at the weekend!

After a long walk today I realised that life here IS really good, we have such an opportunity here. Everyone is so friendly and pleasant even when the weather is a little rough. Snow has been washed away by the rain, no rush for it though I'm sure it will return!

Hayden, Taryn and I walked to Old Navy and Walmart today, treating myself to a new outfit for Raj's Christmas Meal (Thanks to Christmas gift from Russell...thanks Russell, I know its early but needed something nice to wear that fitted me!) and treating Hayden to a MacDonald's.

The walk took about 15 minutes and was good, luckily the rain held off as Taryn was in the Carrier on my chest and we would have been soaked if we got caught in it!

Hopefully Raj's last night working late tonight, he called earlier and said he would be finished at 9ish and was going to get a wind down drink, at least he can only have one... he has the car!

I am looking forward to having him around this weekend, we haven't chilled as a family since Taryn's birth, Christmas Decorations up on Sunday :) :) :)

Check out Hayden's e-mail to Santa, although I obviously typed it it was what he said!

Raj was so excited to wake up, shower and play with Hayden in the snow, don't think it will stay for long as the sun is out and its warm considering :)

And after the coat hat and boots were hung up to dry...

...madagascar for the rest of the day :)

First Snow Fall

December the 1st and the snow begins to fall. We went for our H1N1 vaccinations today, poor Hayden recognised the place as the place he has injections and after many vaccinations since entering Canada he kicked off big time. He screamed and had to be held down by 4 of us, Taryn was hungry and cried for food and I felt terrible and cried feeling sorry for myself. However the ladies/nurses were very helpful and after a chat made me feel better about things.

Brittany took us in her new SV. Hayden sang to Matthew all the way!

and here is Hayden's Christmas elf impression.

Anyway back to the snow. Before...

...and after!!

Hayden couldn't wait to get out there to 'make balls' (no doubt to throw at me!)

And I was right...first one! As the snow fell he couldn't resist exploring.

Proud of what he had achieved in the snow, he declared himself Han Solo!

And he played until it got dark.

I wonder how think the snow will be tomorrow? If it will stay now or go away and come again later. People here have been dreading it, saying the winters are long...we can't wait and it has made me feel so much better :)
