Festival of Lights

Yesterday was the start of the Festival of Lights. The whole seafront was full of games and rides...ALL FREE.

Hayden fed the goats...

It tickled his hand!
And the bouncy castle, he loved jumping around and falling over!

This air filled man made him laugh out loud!

He pretended to be a pirate an played pirate games.

There was a 'strong man' competition.

It was a lovely fun filled family day.

Fathers Day

In typical Fathers Day fashion, Raj said he wanted nothing and then used the 'fathers day' card to avoid painting for another day (in case you are wondering we are painting the outside of the house...and its hard!) and decided he wanted to go to the cinema, to see UP and Wendys for tea, Hayden obviously agreed and I would do anything to avoid the dishes...so off we went!

Chances BBQ

Today we went to a BBQ arranged by Chances, thy are the people that have kept me sane in a new environment, with playgroups on Fridays, parenting groups and antenatal classes.

Anyway they held an event to celebrate the years of Chances and what they have achieved. It was a gorgeous day easily 30 degrees and Hayden had a great time.

We had hot dogs and hamburgers and some lovely fruit...

Hayden played with anything 'light saber shaped'. Luckily Connor was happy to do so too!

This little boy was pretending to be a tiger rrrgggghhhhhh! But Hayden fought him off with his bat!

Hayden realised it was good to climb up the slide as well as go down it :)

There was loads to do for the children.

Hayden was a pirate on a ship for a while....
and a collector of treasure....
Home now having a sleep in the cool living room! Will write more later...adios amigos :)

Summer is here to stay!

Lush weather finally with no breaks from the heat. It is lovely to walk around down town and have no rain or storms.
We have met Raj for lunch for the past two days and sat out in parks and on the harbour to enjoy the sunshine.
Hayden loves the 'cows ice cream' so its always sticky hands on the way home!

Raj didn't even notice the cruise ship that was in town...this comes up from New York, regulary throughout the summer only for the day :)

Lots of jelly fish in warmer areas of the sea, the harbour being one, there were red ones and white ones.
Last night we drove (because we now have a car...check Raj's blog) to the beach in Stratford and walked along, heat still burning the backs of my legs.

This is the same beach where Hayden and I came with freinds a couple of weeks back but the tide was in this time so no pools to play in.

We took a massive bit of drift wood which we thought would look cool in the house, actually took Raj 15 minutes to get it in the car!
Hayden played in the park and enjoyed the weather until we couldnt stand the mosquitos no more, they love Rajamanie blood!

Rainy Day!

Blog entry 3/3 for today!

Took some pictures of Hayden playing in the rain, thought you guys would like to see. We were waiting to view houses and the rain was too much fun, really warm out, just wet!

A quick picture of the scan by the way. No luck on the sex yet, private 3D scan arranged for the 9th July. Looks exactly like Hayden tho'

Been so long...

I cant believe that I have been in Canada for 9 weeks. We have settled here nicely and are now even contemplating buying a house!
We have been looking around for a while and seen some lovely and not so lovely properties. One is standing out in our minds a lot tho and we may even make an offer. The problems are that they see our mortgage in the UK as a huge debt and don't take into consideration the rental income...BUMMER!

Still going well, hopefully the true summer will hit us soon here in PEI as everyone tells me its lush! Still waiting for it at the moment, weather is shit and considering we have no car, getting out isn't as easy.

Thanks to good friends around though we are making it to the shops when needed and Raj just gets a little wet on the way to work.

Will get some piccies together soon...maybe of a new purchase??? OH how exciting!
