Amazingly here there is no arguments to extra scans. Spoke with my doctor about the size of the baby and he mentioned that the labour time may be quicker and this baby seemed bigger! (oh, great I thought to my self) he then advised me to have a scan to check the size. So we went today 9.45am to check our baby girl.
The feet are right under my ribs as I expected and the head is down, she will be bigger than Hayden as she is already at 32 weeks 4lb 12oz. Hayden was 5lb 9oz at 39 weeks!
Hayden and Raj came too and she was so clear, looked like a baby and not an alien with big pouty lips and a button 'Harris' nose.
Pictures will follow shortly it takes a week for them to be prepared for me to pick up!

Heartburn!
Oh my god the heartburn I am experiencing with this baby is crazy, I can't do or eat anything without feeling the effects in a burning sensation. This will definitely put the 'loads of hair' thing to the test! I wonder what our baby girl will look like, blonde and blue eyes or dark and brown eyes?? SO EXCITED
Scan on Monday to check the size of the baby 9.45am and Raj has taken the day off to have a family 'last day of summer'.
Locky came over today and Hayden was very excited. We cooked cookies to keep them happy!

The Parade!
OK so PEI has its ways! to say the least and one of the things it's good at is old fashioned family fun. This parade was to mark the end of 'Old Home Week' a week traditionally named for the reason that it was when people used to return for the week to their home towns on PEI.
It was a Friday but people got the day off to celebrate Gold Cup and Saucer Day (a racing event).
Again in the typical PEI way the floats at the parade were very random...all a bit confusing but fun for the kids and Hayden loved it as we met up with Locky and Conner.

A nice VW, celebrating the Canada Games (which are also currently here on the Island).

Spot the Dog being held by loads of young people and dragged under the power lines...tough job on a hot day.
They even freed Willy!!

Thomas the Tank engine...looking very angry, according to the paint job on his eye brows!
Hayden, like his daddy, liked the ladies :) Very Canadian Cheerleaders!

August Already!
Can't believe we've reached August...so much has happened and I am now 7 months pregnant!

After Locky left Hayden and I stayed out on the deck and put up the paddling pool. We first had a long discussion on why the bin shouldn't be used as a helmet!

The cat was inquisitive about the pool and even tried a paddle! Freaked when he realised there was water in it!
Saturday was too hot to hang about the deck again so it was off to the beach for a family afternoon chilling and forgetting all our worries :)
Check out Raj's blog for more pictures of the beach...http://doucha-blamecanada.blogspot.com/
I can't wait for our little girl to feel the sand in her toes and the snow on her face. This place is lush it has both. We as a family are happy here and don't want to return...settling here seems a good idea right now, we have made good friends and although they don't replace the old ones they definitely fit!
Hayden too has made long lasting friends...Locky and him had a sleep over this week and another next week. Locky stayed with us and played all morning. Hayden was so excited he hardly slept, keeping Locky up till late watching movies in bed and waking him before 7am!

The visit to the nurse and dentist
Hayden met with the nurse this week and was surprised to find two injections waiting for him, over here there are many more vaccinations, I think this is a good thing, so he was brave and took the injections, dreading coming back next month for 2 more!
He visited the dentist today, he did his 'o' 'a' and 'e' and was very well behaved. His teeth are in excellent condition and the dentist was very happy, Hayden was proud of his new toothbrush (pink) and sticker (Tinkerbell)!!
The dentist we have is fabulous, he is so friendly, explains everything and excellent with Hayden, one reason to not come back to the UK is the health care here is fabulous and everyone is so good at their specific job...no GP standard for everything, where you end up diagnosing yourself!!

Camping the Canadian Way!
We decided that a nice camping tourist holiday of PEI was what was needed this summer...so that is what we done, Raj had the week off and I had the weekend.
We didn't go far, just to Cavendish, north of where we are now but only less than an hour away. Kirtsy would have loved it, Anne of Green Gables everywhere!
Hayden loves the tent and has no problems in it sleeping or chilling out when it rains and it does rain...even here!
Daddy and Hayden finished putting up the tent and we decided to have breakfast.

Hayden eats well at camp too all those beans on toast!

Hayden made a lovely friend on the second day who happened to pitch up next door...he was called Emmit and lived in Nova Scotia, his parents Debbie and Don were as happy as we were that they both star wars fans and played so nicely together.

Hayden sat on the car for a photo that both me and Raj have of us on the family car bonnet!

And as I said earlier, when it rains it rains, luckily the day is still warm so if you're going to get wet you may as well do it properly (Raj's philosophy)

When the rain eased off a little we went to mini golf, Hayden seemed to enjoy going with Raj the other day so a little more practice and we may have the next Tiger Woods!
