New Life?

Could this be the start?

Although things still feel weird, not being able to go out wheneever, not having the money to do anything we want and not being able to have hugs from those closest...this seems good, most of the time.
I still need to get a dentist and find out about medical cards etc for Hayden but otherwise all the other hidden costs in this move are done! (lots of them!!)

Going to head to the Park today in Victoria Park, we aimed to go there the other day but lunchtime made us all hungry and we headed home. The weather is lovely again today, maybe even get a tan if it stays this way.

Made some nice friends already one, Sam has invited me to some catering class tonight..that should be fun, although Raj needs to get home early for that (we'll see) and Carrie who has offered to take Hayden and myself to the 'Drop in and Play' session on Friday in Stratford, then to the supermarket.

Meeting Dr Ferguson on Thursday, I do hope he is nice :)

Dairy Queen and Hatha Yoga!

Well realisation of what an amazing place this is happened when I feel upon 'Dairy Queen' Wow the ice cream I got from there was to die for!! only$3 and chocolate sauce! There is no going back after a Dairy Queen Ice Cream!

I then joined Yoga where all my stresses were removed in one session and I was ready to find Raj and tell him to sell sell sell (the house and car in the UK) and buy buy buy here!

The weather was beautiful today and to top off the Dairy Queen, the Yoga and the BBQ at JR's house was the final part of the afternoon in the Park. The reason we made this move and the dreams we've had as a family all played out in 15 minutes of fun and laughter on the swings in the Park. The Rajamanie Family at its best :)

Sims Restaurant and a Glass of Shiraz!

Don't worry only one! Glass of wine that was, and what a meal. Raj completed his first game and he has seen it for sale on Apple Store, this made him very happy and us very proud. So....of course in Rajamanie style an expensive meal was required. We walked around downtown Charlottetown and came across Sims Steakhouse and Oyster Bar. Sounded great, Raj had been warned off, due to the cost, but we thought we'd give ita go. Wasn't that expensive and for the service we got it was great.
Just what the doctor ordered! For me anyways, Hayden was great too, everyone thought he was lovely (of course!)
After a lovely night we came home and Hayden went to bed really well. He as been sleeping well, going to bed on a story from Raj or I and sleeping through till 7.30am!! very welcomed now no work in the mornings :)

Another Day of Sunshine

Its beautiful here when the sun shines and makes the walks into town much more enjoyable.

Went to a parenting class today, 'Parenting Toolbox', about tricks to have up your sleeve and about training your children to behave! Hayden went into a different room where it was all set up with loads of toys and snacks and games and fun stuff, while the parents went into the other room for the session. It was good with loads of cookies, coffee and company. Met some lovely people and some are going again on Friday to the drop in and play, will make sure I go and chat to them.

It was held at the 'Murphys Community Centre' a place I found on Day 1 of my walk about. Has come in very handy. The events are all held by a company named 'Chances' and they offer all of this for free, even pay taxis if they are needed. How cool!

This building is behind the confederation centre and very close to University Ave, where Raj works.

Because Hayden was so well behaved and was the life and soul of the party, I took him to a pet store where he bought his own fish. Its a Betta Fish, Hayden called it Bruce, and thanks to Grandad Lee, he now has his own fish to feed daily. He has missed doing this with Grandad in Plymouth.

I just wish he missed the Hot Tub more, I might get one of them then! lol :)

Figuring out my Job Title!

Well its harder than I thought being at home with Hayden. The days actually go very quickly and I need to find my role...set a plan of weekly routine. Not just have Hayden playing with Star Wars toys all day cos it keeps him quiet but training and teaching him to become a mature sensible and bright little boy that I know he can be.

I don't know what Raj wants me to be either, I do the cleaning and he tells me to leave it, I decide on what Hayden should and shouldn't do and I am corrected...I do what I think is right to find out it's normally wrong!

Anyway Avon calling went well and seemed to be accepted by the majority of doors I knocked on, we'll see how well when and if they order on Wednesday.

I am meeting the Maternity nurse tomorrow at 9am, Hayden is coming with me but Raj is going to work early.

Being called so blog again tomorrow !

Going Walkabout

Today we walked for ages...fabric shops, supermarkets, streets with funny names and lunch at Brits again!

If Hayden doesn't have Oreo's all over his mouth he has saugage grease!

And after a long walkabout on a beautiful, but cold day, I officially became an Avon Lady! LOL

Hard when on my own

The family life is great here and we are all together it is very much appreciated. The last two days we have not seen Raj much, he has been working so hard on meeting the deadline of his new project...till 5am this morning. He wakes up late, goes to work and then comes home when we are asleep. Luckily this should only happen for a couple of days every couple of weeks, but its been hard.

Started to miss company a little. Hayden is grat fun but being pregnant my energy levels are low. I am going to attempt the shopping today, definatly a taxi back tho'!

Yesterday we went for a walk and as I have been promising Hayden, we went to the park.

Today we are going to head down to the harbour to show Hayden the sea: as its still frozen!

More pictures later...

New Life?

Strange...not really missing too many people yet, seems like a holiday, snowy wet one but a holiday. I don't think I will really miss home until next winter! Christmases with the Brimbles and Birthdays with strangely themed parties!

Skype helps, I have spoken with Mum and Dad every day and friends from all over the country and the good old Facebook keeping in touch with friends everywhere :)

Met a nice lady called Mel today, with her sons, Christopher and Lewis. 11 and 9months. She had her son out here and had the same doctor as I am meeting in a couple of weeks which is great. Hoping to go for Tim Hortons? next week with her, supposed to be excellent coffee.

Finally here!

Well if you read my husbands blog you will know that we have arrived and made quite an impact on his single existence! We have moved everything around and Hayden and I are struggling to stay in bed past 6.30am in the morning! Much to Raj's dislike.

I am feeling a little less sick now, although this pregnancy is nothing like the last.
My mum always said no two babies are alike...I wonder what the next will be like :)

Anyway Hayden is a handful and I am going to have to strike out all resources and patience to survive being a 'stay at home mum'! Love him as I do this is hard work and all respect to families of more than 1(oops that will be us soon)!
